Spinal health tips

Exercise Regularly:
Spinal tissue repair and remodeling is influenced by the stresses placed upon them. Regular exercise and strengthening activities will promote a healthier, stronger and more stable spine. Exercise does not have to be overly strenuous to achieve significant benefits. A regular activity such as a daily walk can make a huge difference. Increased abdominal strength will help protect the spine from injury as it supports the spine from in front just as the muscle of the back support the spine from behind.

Based on Swedish Massage techniques, each massage is tailored to your requirements following a full consultation and individual assessment.

Benefits:

  • Massage can have a profound effect on physical and emotional well being, reducing stress, promoting relaxation and alleviating depression.
  • It keeps muscles in peak condition, helps maintain elasticity and flexibility and relieves muscular fatigue and adhesions after injury or stress.
  • Increases blood flow, stimulates the removal of toxins from the body and can alleviate the symptoms of hormonal imbalance.
  • In the long term, massage improves skin tone, lowers blood pressure, boosts immunity, relieves insomnia, balances the digestive system and improves energy levels, body image, awareness and self esteem.
